Privacy Policy
The management of Pacific Personnel Australia Pty Ltd (PPA) is committed to ensuring that our dealings with personal information regarding job seekers, client and others with whom we deal comply with Australian Privacy laws.
Usually the type of information that we collect includes, but is not limited to:
- Job seeker or consultant information submitted by resume, CV or application
- Work performance information; and
- Information obtained from reference and background checks.
We collect personal information primarily to enable the placement of permanent and temporary job seekers and assisting job seekers in finding or obtaining work.
Collection of Information
Personal information may be collected by an authorised PPA employee. All employees are screened which ensures personal information to which they may become privy through the course of their employment, is confidential.
Use and Disclosure of Information
We may disclose personal information to:
- Potential employers or employees;
- Nominated referees;
- Any person or body to which we are required by law to disclose information;
- A competent organisation that conducts background and criminal records checks (provided that the organisation complies with privacy laws); and
- To educational or vocational organisations to the extent necessary to verify qualifications.
Data Security
We will take reasonable steps to protect personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure. We will destroy any personal information that we no longer have any use for, other than information that we are required by law to preserve.
Access to Personal Information
Our employees (permanent and/or temporary) can access personal information the company may hold about the individual. In order to gain access to individual information, contact PPA management.
Revising Personal Information
If personal information changes for permanent and/or casual employees, please contact management and the correct information will be updated. Management may contact permanent or temporary employees to check that information provided is still correct.
Environmental Policy
Our Environment
Pacific Personnel Australia Pty Ltd has made a strong commitment to environmental best practice and the prevention of pollution and wastage in office management and general operations. In consultation with industry professionals we have developed a process of continual improvement with the intention of developing an ongoing policy that allows PPA to lead the personnel sector in efficient and effective environmental office practices.
Through our philosophy of maintaining a sustainable business we will:
- Identify and manage our environmental footprint, and the associated risks and opportunities;
- Work closely with our business partners, clients, suppliers and other interested parties to continually refine our work practices and operations;
- Incorporate environmental management considerations into our core business plans and management practices;
- Minimise waste-to-landfill and greenhouse gas emissions;
- Further reduce our consumption of power, water and natural resources;
- Employ environmental considerations in purchasing decisions;
- Regularly monitor and report on our environmental performance;
- Continue to identify new areas for improved performance;
- As a minimum, comply with applicable legal requirements, relevant Government policies and our environmental management plans; and
- Actively promote and encourage the adoption of ecologically sustainable work practices and operations within our organisation and the general community.
- Ongoing Management of EAP
- At the conclusion of the annual reporting period, PPA will review its Environmental Action Plan and update where necessary.
